When preparing a quote, we take great care to ensure all aspects have been considered to prevent additional costs cropping up along the way.

Have a great idea for a start-up application?
It all comes down to research. Are you filling a niche in the market, or are you going into a highly competitive area with a unique idea or angle? Before investing time and money into a start-up web application, it is important to research your target audience and make sure that what you are offering is in demand. Check out our blog post below.
What is the difference between a mobile app and a mobile webpage?
An app must be permanently downloaded onto a device, most commonly a mobile phone, allowing the framework to be used even when offline. That being said, most app functionality requires being connected to the internet.
A mobile webpage is viewed in a browser – such as Chrome or Safari – and isn't stored on the device. Most of the same functionality and layout that an app would have can be built into this form of website. The functionality and layout of the original website can also be incorporated.
You can’t say that one is better than the other, as they are both useful in their own way.

What is Mobile Responsiveness and why does it matter to my business?
A mobile responsive webpage is one that responds to use on a mobile phone, meaning that your website recognizes the device being used and changes the layout and display to better work with the screen size.
It differs from industry to industry but in today's mobile crazed society it's likely that your audience is using their mobile to look you up on Google rather than sitting at a computer to do it. What that means is that anywhere from 30%-60% of your customers are looking for businesses on their mobile, and if your website doesn't cater to mobile users the business they find through Google won't be yours.
Already have a website that isn't mobile responsive? It's OK, there are options. Visit our blog to learn more about what we can do for your business to help you transition into a responsive site.
How does my website look on a mobile?
If your current website was built over 5 years ago, it's very likely that your website will not look good on mobile phones. In the last 5 to 10 years, mobile phone internet browsing popularity has exploded, and now more people are viewing your website from a mobile phone instead of a computer.
With this in mind, it is more important than ever to have a mobile friendly website for your business. There are two main strategies to creating a mobile friendly website; create a new responsive website or create a separate mobile website designed only for use on mobiles. What is best for you will depend on your current situation.
Here at AB Web, we make it our goal to help guide you through the process to mobile web nirvana.

How can I spruce up my Twitter page?
Twitter allows you to upload your own background image, so this is a great place to start and an excellent way to promote your brand. Be sure to include your logo, brand colours and any important contact information such as email addresses, phone numbers and other social pages.
Next, Twitter also allows you to upload a custom header image. This is a great area to add a bit of your own branding, but keep it clean, because this is also where Twitter places some of your important Twitter related information.
Finally, you can update your page with your brand colours. This includes changing link colours, text colour and content background colour.
At AB Web we can help you make all of these changes - including creating custom graphics for your background and header.
